General

• Do you have free parking?
  Yes. We have spaces for 25 cars during the day, and many more in the evening.
• Where are you located?
  We are located right off the 85th Street exit of 405 in Kirkland. Our address is 11200 Kirkland Way #220, Kirkland, WA 98033.

Catering & Event Space

• How many people can Starry Nights accommodate?
  We can accommodate up to 100 people.
• How large is your event space?
  Our event space is 1200 square feet.
• What are your rates for event space rental?

• Do you have special menus for food allergies and dietary requirements?
  Absolutely! We are happy to help create any special menu that you desire.
• Can I bring in my own caterer to the event space?
  We prefer to serve only our own fabulous food at Starry Nights!
• Can you cater offsite , at my home or office?
  Absolutely!
• How far in advance do I need to book?
  We recommend booking our space 1-2 months in advance in the offseason, and 3-6 months ahead during December and the summer months.
• Do you require a deposit?
  Yes. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve your date. The remaining 50% balance will be due two weeks before your event.
• Can I put a hold on a date without a deposit?
  We are happy to hold your preferred date for 24 hours free of obligation.

Custom Cakes

• Can I get a specific cake without liquor?
  Yes! We can make any cake flavor or combination that you desire.
• How much are your cakes?
  Our cakes are charged per serving, and depend upon the ingredients of the cake. Our Classic line ranges from $4.75-$6.00 a serving, and our Boutique line ranges from $6.00-$7.00 per serving.
• Can I schedule a tasting before I buy?
  We encourage it! Our Pastry Chef would be pleased to meet with you for a private tasting and consultation. Click to schedule a tasting.
• Do you require a deposit?
  Yes. We require a 50% deposit on cakes, refundable up to 1 month prior to the delivery date. Payment in full is due 2 weeks prior to delivery.
• Can I order a cake that's not on your menu?
  Absolutely. If you can imagine it, we can bake it.
• What's the most people your cakes can serve?
  We can serve as many guests as you can invite!
• Do you allow for dietary restrictions?
  Yes. We would be pleased to work with you to accommodate any allergies or restrictions.

Kitchen Rentals

• Do I need a food handler's license to rent?
  Yes. You can obtain one for $10 when you take a class through the Health Department.
• What other permits or licenses do I need?
  You need a business license, business insurance, and either a State of WA Agricultural permit (wholesale food) or a food permit from the King County Health Department (retail food).
• Is there a discount for long-term rentals?

• How big is the kitchen?
  Our kitchen is 1600 square feet.
• How many people can use the kitchen at once?
  12-15 total people in 6 workstations can use our shared-use kitchen simultaneously.
• Can I request a private kitchen rental?
  Yes, but you must rent all workstations (6) for the duration.
• Are there discounts for using the kitchen in the off hours?
  We don't price the kitchen based on peak or offpeak hours. Click here for kitchen rates.
• What's included in the kitchen rental?
  All appliances, tools, the dishwashing station, an 8' stainless steel workbench, use of the freezer and walk-in, and kitchen towels.
• Do you have someone to wash dishes?
  Not at this time. Renters are expected to maintain a clean workspace, including washing all tools and equipment.
• Can I store ingredients or tools?
  Yes. We offer private storage lockers for rent.
• I'm a cooking instructor, and I want to rent the kitchen to teach cooking classes. Can I do that?
  Absolutely. We have a special program for culinary instructors. Please email or call us for more information.
