Starry Nights Catering & Events Teams With Food Lifeline to "Mambo Away the Hunger" in Western Washington
May 2, 2006
Chef Matt Jones of Starry Nights Catering & Events knows food. But he also knows that for many people in Washington state, hunger has become a daily reality. "When I learned that Washington has the 9th highest hunger rate in the nation, I wanted to help," said Jones. Teaming with Food Lifeline, Starry Nights Catering & Events will present a hunger benefit Sunday, May 21 called Mambo Away the Hunger.
The Mambo Away the Hunger event will feature Cuban-style food and drinks, music, and Mambo lessons taught by a professional dance instructor. Tickets are $45 per person, and 20% of the ticket price goes directly to Food Lifeline. And according to Holly Firmin, Marketing Coordinator of Food Lifeline, "Six meals are provided for every $1 donated to us." So why not Mambo and make a difference in Western Washington? Call 425.284.2479 for tickets, or visit Starry Nights Catering & Events' website at http://starrynightscatering.com/calendar/mambo.php.
Mambo Away the Hunger will be held on Sunday, May 21, at 7pm, at Starry Nights Catering & Events. Starry Nights is located at 11200 Kirkland Way #220, Kirkland, WA 98033.
