Keeping up with the Joneses requires TV

Seattle Times: January 13 2007

By Sherry Grindeland

Matt and Denise Jones won't need the remote control for television Monday night. They're not changing channels.

The Eastside couple will be watching "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations," on the Travel Channel. (Bourdain wrote "Kitchen Confidential" and starred in Food Network's "Cook's Tour.")

Matt Jones, executive chef of Starry Nights Catering & Events in Kirkland, expects to be featured in the "Pacific Northwest" episode. At least his food should be. Jones and other chefs prepared dinner for Anthony Bourdain last June when he was filming locally.

Denise has a stake in the show, too. While her husband cooked, she served the food.

"We're both looking forward to seeing the show and seeing if he liked the food," she said. "We were too busy working to ask him."
